Casey "Remrov" Vormer: Connecting With The Autism Spectrum (Paperback, 2020, Rockridge Press) 5 stars

Must Read for anyone who knows someone on the spectrum (that is everyone)

5 stars

If you know it or not, you know someone on the spectrum. It is currently predicted that 1 in 88 adults have some form of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Some of us much more profoundly effected than others but all of us have wants needs and would like to be heard and understood. Please pick up this book. This is well written by someone on the spectrum and gives some great incite into the life of one person with ASD, and can give the person with the nurotypical brain some incite on how to hear us, understand us and help us relate to you with out fear of offending and to make life better for both of us. While the saying is true if you have met one person with Autism you have met one person with Autism, there are a few common threads that run through many of our lives and can generally be counted on. There are also some things that many of us find offensive and many things that nurotypical people just think we would find offensive but we really, most often find hilarious.

This book was an eye opener for me very glad I got it. If you are reading this please get a copy and read it. It is short, it was a labor of love for the author, and you can truly feel his desire to do good in his words. If you have someone in your life that struggles with social interaction reach out right now...you may save a life, or much more likely just make someones day much more bright.
