I disagree with Fisher’s definitions of “weird” and “eerie,” but I agree that they are different things. A person walking a duck on a leash might be weird, but not necessarily eerie. Being in practically any building alone at night might be eerie without being weird. But I appreciate Fisher making me think about the distinction.
