I really wanted to like this book: Kathleen Mallory and her buddy Charles were interesting, the premise and the story were intriguing, I liked some aspects of the author's writing style, but somehow I found this book to be a tedious read and was not all that motivated to finish it. Unengaging as it was, I trudged through it, and after having finished it I'm still not sure what the final solution to the mystery was. Though it wasn't terrible, I'm rounding my 2.5 stars rating down to two, because it just wasn't the fun read I'd hoped it would be.
