I was quite intrigued by this book. The story was really interesting and somehow well done with all the hiding and stuff and as little as I know about Mormons, it did seem to paint a good picture—how true, would probably warrant some research of my own. I am not sure if the writing was supposed to feel a little—for the lack of a better word—childish at first, but became more mature after the book in the book was done. The ending felt a bit forced. I would have preferred the epilogue to be just that, a sad epilogue where Tanner just reflects. I would very much have enjoyed a sad ending over a happy one.
