After finishing City of Storms, book two dragged me back into the Nightmarked realm almost instantly.

Rich world building, intriguing characters, logical progression of the story line that felt organic yet managed to be surprising.

All the characters took on new depth as the setting expanded beyond the walls of Novostopol and into the wider realm.

Her sometimes sparse, sometimes rich use of language. The way dialog flowed and characters related to each other. The sights, smells, tastes, and textures all swirled together to paint the picture without blotting the narrative canvas

Highly recommended.
