Review of 'About Face' on 'Storygraph'
Wonderful to be caught up in the delicious meals, delightful life of the mind, and rather seductive corruption of life in Venice. Outside my window, cold slush is falling through gusts of wind, so I'm glad to be cozy.
The literary allusions are fun to read, though I miss many of the references to classical Latin authors, I am sure.
Interesting to see folks think this has an abrupt ending. I finished The Girl of His Dreams (#17) earlier today and it certainly lacks the 'good' ending of justice through the system of police and judges, so I'm not expecting this will have one. I just hope for some peace for Guido and Paolo (and all their family).
