George has always been in love with their best friend, Eleanor – and has always tried to ignore it.

Funny, adorable, queer Regency romance

Hari Conner's comic about a trio of friends growing up and dealing with social expectations - finding a match, specifically - is utterly delightful. Great artwork, witty writing, loveable characters, quirky situations, and sensitive, intelligent handling of issues around queerness, race, and money in a decidedly heteronormative, racist, elitist society. It's obvious Conner had fun writing and drawing their characters, most visible in the cartoony reaction faces of Eleanor, but also in the wider cast of characters. And it's heartwarming how the story shows kindness and acceptance, sometimes in unexpected places. I highly recommend it!
