Dull, superficial and tendentious. Full of sweeping generalizations and grandiose pomposity. Got about a quarter of the way through and decided the intellectual torture of reading any further was hardly worth it. Rarely do I put a difficult book down, but in this case I'd rather swallow a crate of anchovy paste.
