"In this candid and riveting memoir, for the first time ever, Nike founder and CEO Phil Knight shares the inside story of the company's early days as an intrepid start-up and its evolution into one of the world's most iconic, game-changing, and profitable brands. Grateful to Brad Feld for the recommendation to read this; he was right, it's an outstanding business book. I was prepared to learn about Nike's history, and Phil Knight's ambition - I wasn't prepared for the meditations on life, regret, family, loss.

Knight's honesty, his recollection of Nike's early days - and the many twists in its path to success - all made it a gripping account of what it took to build an iconic company. And his concluding lessons - about what matters, about what he'd hope to share with the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders - will stay with me for a long time.

Highly recommended.
