Love & Luck was disappointing—on its own, and as a sequel to Love & Gelato. Addie's secret isn't revealed until very late in the narrative, and then isn't given its due (Ian's reaction becomes understandable, but the overall weight given to the secret is lacking).

Ian and Addie were whiny, unpleasant characters, to say the least. Neither was redeemed, personality-wise, by the end of the book. Don't even get me started on their irresponsible behavior/adventure. Rowan was my favorite character (if I had to pick one).

Overall the entire story was painfully drawn out with insufficient payoff at the end.
