Not Quite What I Hoped For

Having read Terry Brooks for most of my life, I was excited to see him delve into science fiction. Many of the hallmarks of Brooks' best are present here: all the adventure and character work is familiar. His take on cyberpunk doesn't do a lot that is novel, and falls into some unfortunate tropes in the process. Some of the characters are intriguing, but overall there wasn't enough here to make this a book I'd recommend.
