This book would be better called "random news clippings of stuff that happened in Rio Vista." I was disappointed that the book focused almost solely on Rio Vista, and that the stories shared were not significant to understanding the history of the region or the context of the day.
Bright spots include a biographical sketch of Jack London, who was a native of SF and traveled around NorCal; and the Chinese cemetery, which contained no Chinese.
