And so the baking continues

Another very cozy and comfortable read which I've read in a day. Rather important for me because of the gorgeous, kind and unashamedly fat heroine.

The mystery part itself is again rather lacklustre. What is rather annoying is the tendency of the author to withhold the information and thought process of the main character until she makes a dramatic reveal - that is, when the main character gets an idea or an interesting piece of information we as readers have to wait.

But mystery is really not why I am reading the series. I am reading it for the adorable cats having their humans firmly under their cute little paws, friendly witches, quirky inhabitants of the equally quirky Roman-inspired building, whose occupations and significance tend to correspond with the classic deities after which their apartments are named,and of course for Jason's quest for perfect muffins. …
