Review of 'The ruining' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
An interesting concept that fell flat on execution. In spite of mediocre (and sometimes downright cringe-inducing) writing, the well-paced first 2/3 of the book held my attention because it wasn't immediately clear who to trust--even the MC. But in the final 1/3, the disappointingly un-clever resolution landed with a thunk. I'm glad I read it but can give it no more than two stars.
