The concept of this book is an amusing one, but I could only take so many tales of vampire slayings before I was ready for Abe to get to Ford's Theater already (is that a spoiler?). The best parts of this book, for me, were the touching insights into Abe's passionate and emotional character; however, not knowing where the line between fact and fiction lay, I found myself doubting those compelling moments. Maybe I should read a true Lincoln bio? Anyway, overall it was a well-written read - entertaining before the joke got old - perhaps more suited to someone with a better command of American history and interest in vampires?
