While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years.

Review of 'Abraham Lincoln, vampire hunter' on 'Goodreads'

The concept of this book is an amusing one, but I could only take so many tales of vampire slayings before I was ready for Abe to get to Ford's Theater already (is that a spoiler?). The best parts of this book, for me, were the touching insights into Abe's passionate and emotional character; however, not knowing where the line between fact and fiction lay, I found myself doubting those compelling moments. Maybe I should read a true Lincoln bio? Anyway, overall it was a well-written read - entertaining before the joke got old - perhaps more suited to someone with a better command of American history and interest in vampires?
