Review of 'A Pocket Full of Rye (Agatha Christie Collection)' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I've read over two dozen mysteries from this prolific Dame, and thought maybe I'd have the twist in this one. I had maybe a quarter-twist with my eyes mostly on the red herring.
I do like an Inspector who has a fragmented mind, skims the newspaper, then jots three entries in the Times (cryptic) crossword immediately. And I like a ghoulish woman who writes letters. Satisfying and vivid, especially if one's seen one of the television adaptations.
