to be honest, i expected to be scared of the book. asylums, especially haunted asylums, scare the shit out of me and i thought that this one would give me nightmares.
the author did an amazing job and she writes beautifully, but i wasn't really scared. more entertained than anything. the plot was interesting and i really liked reading it, but i really hoped that i would be scared. i feel like the suspense kept me hanging on like what would happen next. i'll definitely read the sequel, but i was still disappointed.
