i love my smol and egotistical son, apollo so much. this book was everything i have hoped and waited for. i love the small details to the mythology and the history that riordan tries to do.

and do i smell a potential series involving a mythology from the continent of africa? because i would be so down with that if he actually wrote it well and with a lot of thought.

and my smol and destructive child meg is back! i really hope that she learned that her stepfather is a maniac and she finally left her abusive home. on that note, i was anticipating that meg would break my heart again and betray apollo... again.

it didn't.

but that doesn't mean she didn't break my heart.

i love this book and i can't wait for the next one.
