i love my smol and egotistical son, apollo so much. this book was everything i have hoped and waited for. i love the small details to the mythology and the history that riordan tries to do.

and do i smell a potential series involving a mythology from the continent of africa? because i would be so down with that if he actually wrote it well and with a lot of thought.

and my smol and destructive child meg is back! i really hope that she learned that her stepfather is a maniac and she finally left her abusive home. on that note, i was anticipating that meg would break my heart again and betray apollo... again.

it didn't.

but that doesn't mean she didn't break my heart.

i love this book and i can't wait for the next one.

the only problem i have is the fact that i keep thinking the book is gonna end in a certain place and we would get our next installment in another book, even though there was about two hundred pages left. it kept fucking me up holy shit.

anyway, give this book a shot and i can't wait for the next one.
