Haulin' Freight
5 stars
This one hits right in my sweet spot with the problems of a shoe string cargo hauler.
It's a great story. Inez Stanton sizzles on the page. There's a lot of universe to unravel here, and it's intriguing as all get out. Gilson handles the story with masterful aplomb given that he really only has one character to play with. He manages to keep the story moving without getting her lost in her own navel.
This book also reminded me why I don't read novellas. They're just too darn short! I just got sunk into it when it ended.
Luckily the next two books in the series are available but this string is going to run out way too soon.
Highly recommended.
