The third of Toby Frost's comic steampunk space-operas isn't the strongest in the series. Although the novel does have plenty of genuinely funny moments, there are fewer than in the previous two outings. Also, this book is very much the third part of a trilogy and you do need to have read the first two novels in the series to be appreciate it.
Frost has created an absurdly funny universe with these novels but now might be a good time for him to expand or change the central cast a little.
