Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, sweet, thoughtful, quick read. However, the protagonists uncritical focus on weight being equal to beauty, and on losing weight, and being skinny, was very uncomfortable. It wasn’t examined at all (why did she feel that pressure, what harm did it do, etc), but instead was presented as normal.
