Review of 'Words That Hurt, Words That Heal' on 'Goodreads'

I started this book honestly quite skeptical of the mitzvah of lashon hara. Is it truely possible not to gossip about others? Given the enormity of the task, why bother?
Rabbi Telushkin quickly convinced me that this is an incredibly important obligation, and indeed how we speak to and about others is vital. He delved deeper into not just the why but the how, although he spends a lot of time on the why. I also appreciated that he examined the "when not to". When do we have to say something about another person? Truely wonderful book I will be returning to again and again.

Edited to add:
I've reread this book 2 or 3 times now. I keep coming back to it. It is a profoundly life changing, powerful book. I expect I will continue to refer to it for many years.
