Review of 'Bud, not Buddy' on 'Goodreads'

Christopher Paul Curtis created a beautiful book, here. I love unreliable narrators. Bud is so self-aware that he "lampshades" his own fallibility, and it's heartbreaking. In a good way! Like great art often is!

Update: I just read this to my daughter, and she loved it. She's a six year old smart cookie, and I think the difficult subject matter was ok, since it lead to great discussions. She's learning history and critical thinking that she just can't get in Kindergerten.
