Lots of potential here. Look forward to seeing the author hone his craft over the next books.

Well, the last 20% was somewhat redeeming, but I still felt like the story overall lacked a certain, I dunno, something.

Surprisingly good. I bought this on a whim and I'm glad I did. Enough plot twists to keep me surprised, though some of them were predictable.
