Worldview: 2/5 This is a fairytale, and as is often the case, it presents ideas about what is good and what is evil. From a Christian perspective there are some concerning positions presented. However there are some deeds of valiant self sacrifice that are beautiful.
Literary value: 4/5 wonderfully written, relatively short but with well realized characters and convincing world building.

Okayish. Skimmed the last half of the book just to see how it turned out. After reading reviews I see I missed some distressingly bad parts. Bullet dodged.

“We are legion” isn’t a good reference for your group of good guys. Writing was okay, but first person in this case was tiring. Made the book flat and low on action. If we are going to go as nerd-reference heavy as this book was, then I’d describe this book as mostly harmless.
