From the macabre mind of a Bram Stoker Award-nominated author, this heart-pounding novel of horror and psychological suspense takes a ghost hunting reality TV crew into a world they could never have imagined.

Not as spooky as I was expecting.

No rating

Overall, I give it 3.5 stars. The writing was good, the characters were engaging, I devoured it and do not regret reading it.

The ending was a bit of a surprise and not what I expected. Overall, though, the main reason I'm giving it a lower rating is because I was expecting more spooky stuff. It was advertised as being a horror and it didn't really have enough for me to feel it is a true horror. It was like...lite horror lol. The spooky parts that we got were good and I wish that there had been more of that. I will be looking into some other books by DiLouie because I felt it was a compelling story and I was not bored at all, so I'd be interested to see what his other works offer.

The audiobook for this was really good, by the way. It was well done …
