"Join the excitement as depraved genius Rick Sanchez embarks on insane adventures with his awkward grandson Morty across the universe and across time. Caught in the crossfire are his teenage granddaughter Summer, his veterinary surgeon daughter Beth, and his hapless son-in-law Jerry. This collection features the first five issues of the comic book series, including "The Wubba Lubba Dub Dub of Wall Street", "Mort-Balls!" and more, along with hilarious mini-comics showcasing the whole family." --Back cover.

Most TV to comic adaptations suck. This one is not so bad and I could see the writers getting better as this title goes on.

What really helps this comic is the conceit of "infinite timelines" that Rick and Morty have. As a result, the comics can focus on a Rick and Morty from another dimension and not have to worry about their stories clashing with "canon" of the TV series or any developments that occur their. This frees up the writers and the readers equally, since we do not have to wonder where any of this would occur within the framework of the show.
