I was drawn in by the opening pages. It is just a therapist talking about his patient, but I was so curious.

The rest was as enthralling. You bounce between psychological and metaphysical reasons for the titular case. All the while the novel dissects the doctor's and the patient's whole worlds.

If the beginning catches you, the rest is worth it.
