Very different to the first book. This one is more of a sci fi story than a murder mystery. Some of the plotting got confusing, and I may have missed a few things, but overall, I liked it.

This book further expands on the dynamics of the fictional universe where Kovacs was born into; the story moves away from the typical noir cyberpunk setting to embrace a different but nonetheless compelling scifi style.

As satisfying as Altered Carbon was. Excellent book.
