The Girl from the Sea

Molly Knox Ostertag has made a wonderful coming of age story set here in Nova Scotia and brimming with heart. This comic captures the sweetness of first romance and packs in secrets, ecological concern, and a a warm cast of characters. Ostertag's art has delighted me since her work on Strong Female Protagonist, and it's in fine form here.

I loved this graphic novel. The illustrations are so good and the story is unbelievably beautiful!

Queer Selkies!!! I loved the story and the art is LOVELY, but I thought the ending was really sad, and that's not how I wanted it to end.

Well now, that was a lovely read with some lovely art.
