Finally the other half of the story from a Feast of Crows. I liked the story but I don't like a lot of the outcomes for some of the characters. This is becomming more of a Fantasy soap opera and less about any specific character. It's hard to root for anyone. I think Martin is showing his television background with this. I enjoy reading this series but it's becoming a series I'm no longer being interested in.

For me the loss of a central character to focus the story is making it hard to care. There were choices that some characters of made that seemed at odds with their personalities earlier in the series. There is some discontinuity in those characters that causes me to slowly not care.

I can't wait for the next books so that I can finish this series but it's becoming boring as I read on. …
