"In the adventure of Wisteria Lodge, Holmes is visited by a perturbed, proper, English gentleman, John Scott Eccles. He's immediately followed by Inspector Baynes, who questions him regarding the murder of Aloysius Garcia at Wisteria Lodge the previous night... Consequently, in The tiger of San Pedro, a country house owner is discovered to have been a feared and hated dictator. Whilst in The adventure of the dying detective, a small ivory box is significant when Holmes lies gravely ill in bed, and dying."--Publisher description.

Review of 'His Last Bow (Sherlock Holmes)' on 'Storygraph'

A classic volume in the saga - there is superb driving (trucks and snowmobiles), bold courage by our hero and the people who stand with him (lovely cameo of the old lady, new role for a daughter), a destroyed government truck, and not too much about the conniving, greedy people who wreck our world.
