Typically interested in Sci/Fi, for the most part, but read some fantasy, Greek Classics, the occasional biography if it is someone I care about. Science related non-fiction is good and Horror is good too.

Reading is for relaxation for me so I often don't read the most difficult fair. I do challenge myself from time to time.

I am looking for good narratives describing Hell as a literal place. (like The Inferno)

I am not Nurotipical.

@henry I absolutely love this book, I keep an annotated copy on my tablet. Carl was truly a national treasure. Through parts you will believe he could see the future and at other parts you will weep at how far we flew from what Carl would have wanted for what could have been such a wonderful world; however it is still a wonderful and hopeful book.

I saw a lot of bad reviews for this one that I really didn't think it deserved. I found it to be rather engaging. I had a connection with the characters, and perhaps that was part of the problem for some. I am just as guilty as other of not liking a story because I cannot enjoy the struggle of the people that are in it, but in this case these people are so real, so feeling, so giving you always want for them what they cannot have.

Given the the scope of the endeavor and the lesson it uncovers about the nature of us it is no wonder that many did not want to understand. Or perhaps it was just to complex for them to truly grasp the beauty of the art taken as a whole, but if you have the courage I highly recommend this. Just be ready …

I have read this a few times in the past, this really is a long time Fav. I am not going to give a star rating right now just because I don't feel I could do an objective job of it.

One thing I would want everyone to know going into this. Just in case you don't already know and it is not immediately obvious this is satire. Know its time and place and do not judge to harshly.

This is not a terribly challenging book. If you like Who donnit with some fantasy sci-fi twist this really is a great book. This author is amazing.

This feels a little like Harry Dresden's Great Great Grand Nephew but if you like those books these will be great too.

So glad I found this story and I am looking forward to the next one.

Gave this 5 stars because it was fun to read there was no glaring problems in the plot. The need to suspend disbelief was light due to setting (time and place). Characters seemed plausible and relatabilly flawed
