A very comfortable, cozy book which I've devoured in a day and that kept me smiling.

It was muffins, demanding cats, references to Classic mythology, a friendly witch, a mysterious and too good to be true lover, and playing a dominatrix. If I could have everything I ever wanted in my own life - this would be it.

Also, as a fat woman, it was very important and refreshing for me to see a fat heroine portrayed in an unquestioningly positive light - comfortable with her looks, not dieting (heck, daring to own a bakery and enjoying delicious food) and being regarded as occasionally gorgeous.

For the negatives - the mysteries were not exactly "fair", or at least that's what my impression was . The romance part also felt very rushed - granted, that probably was intentional, but it seemed unrealistic for the heroine to just accept it in stride.

Still, I can't wait to read the next instalment
