@kosmotekno@books.theunseen.city honestly they started to blend together. I liked "The Sign of the Four" (another book) best so far because Watson has a bit of a personality and falls in love with his life. Lots of racism and colonialism though.

I sometimes wonder how our experience of reading all the stories at once rather than reading them over time changes our perception. I think about this with many of the serialized novels in the 19th century - I have not tried it yet but I assume reading Dickens serialized is a different experience than reading it at once.
