I had no idea who this character was until I saw her in the videogame Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. I thought that she was incredibly annoying and I had absolutely no interest in learning any more about her. But one of my kids saw Gwenpool (and Spider-Gwen... no relation, though, as we've learned!) and was very interested. So I grabbed both books from the library. I got about four pages in and fell in love with the book and the character. I'm quite surprised!! I love the Deadpool-style breaking of the fourth wall, and love that the whole concept is based on the main character literally breaking through that wall (and getting stuck). Marvel is really going out on a limb with some of these new ideas, it seems, and I'm very glad that I've started reading comics again.
