It's hard for me to decide what I thought of this. On it's own terms this is an excellent novel, but compared to Red Mars and Green Mars, it feels a lot slower. It's almost as it Kim Stanley Robinson had two and a half great novels in him and was forced to stretch this final installment a bit.

Blue Mars isn't bad, but it isn't a patch on the two novels that precede it.
