Review of 'The adventures of a girl called Bicycle' on 'Storygraph'

Loved this rollicking adventure story. The bicycling details are accurate. I loved the way the girl got better at living on the road, accepting help from people. And the scene at Churchill Downs was great -- when I started recognizing the names of racehorses (from Tour de France lore), I laughed out loud.

So, this is counted as fantastical and "don't try this at home" warnings come to mind, but the book is a joyful expression of admiration for places and people all across the USA
