Alice Feeny: Sometimes I Lie: A psychological thriller with a killer twist you'll never forget (2017, Harlequin UK)

Review of "Sometimes I Lie: A psychological thriller with a killer twist you'll never forget" on 'Storygraph'

i liked the premise of the book. i thought the plot and the summary of it was pretty interesting.

until i got to the end.

throughout the entire book, i was just annoyed by amber. her character was whiny and i was under the premise that i was supposed to feel bad for her. in actuality, i didn't care for her. towards the end when everything was finally solved and figured out, i was more confused than anything. i sort of figured out what was going on, but i felt like her entire personality flipped on us.

maybe it's because the narrator is completely unreliable or something, but i just didn't like this at all. the only thing i liked was the writing style and somewhat the plot. the writing style definitely helped.
