I... did not enjoy this one as much as the first. Plotwise it was great. That part of the book was AWESOME. Really loved it.
But the romance between Bri and a 350yr old was... ick. I didn't find it written particularly well, just one of those meet-instantly-in-love with zero chemistry. But also... what does a 350 year old person see in a TEENAGER? Nope. The book would have been 1000000000000% better without this.

Have loved reading for as long as I can remember. Fantasy (epic and urban) and sci-fi books are my true loves. Actively working to decolonize my bookshelf.

Review of 'A Magic Steeped in Poison' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
A cute and fun read.
Two things I wish were different, and why I wish I could do half stars.
A) More of the tea content! More details about the brewing, the magic, just... more.
B) Cliffhangers suck. Trust that you've crafted a good story and don't resort to an unfinished tale to sell a second book.

"Right side of history" may be the most morally idiotic phrase of modern times. History is not God, and has no morality.
