A very enjoyable read with a satisfying ending

I hadn’t realize that this would be a “feel good” kind of read. While I enjoy a good dystopia, I think we’re living through one a little bit too much, inconveniently this book… Kind of addresses that. It’s science fiction that tells us that is overwhelming is the problem facing us seem, they can be solved. The Read itself was good, the chapters bounce back-and-forth a little bit more than I was a fan of, but the ending is good overall. Well, I found myself skeptical about some of the potential solutions presented, seriously we don’t have fusion yet, and everything in it is simply a matter of scale rather than amazing new technology. Was well worth reading!

Jake Berman: The Lost Subways of North America (Hardcover, 2023, University of Chicago Press) No rating

A fun and informative read. The book is broken up into individual small chapters on each city so while it has a lot of information, it’s actually very quick read. Well, worth reading

Well, this book at least broke my “readers block” As I’m a big fan of the series, it was enjoyable. It fills in some gaps that existed from the first book, which is always fun. One of the fun elements of this series is that continually the writer has been suggesting or mentioning previous adventures that had not been written and then as time goes by they kind of get filled in sometimes. Having said that If you haven’t previously read any of the Vlad Taltos books, I definitely could not recommend starting here at all. You absolutely have to know the character is pretty well. Anyways, an enjoyable read
