[this is not much of a review, but i felt like writing about reading this...]

i bought the first five issues of v for vendetta when dc published them in 1988, but at that time, i had trouble getting into it. perhaps it was because i was reading it one issue at a time as they came out.

years pass, and i did see the 2006 movie, but i barely remember a thing about it (i tend to forget things alarmingly easily), so i don't think the movie viewing affected my experience of reading this much (for example, i remembered that there was a train with explosives at the end, but not that v was dead and on the train, heh). i mostly remember flying knives, and natalie portman's shaved head...

anyway! this past christmas, while visiting my parents, i noticed that the 5 issues i bought were still on a bookshelf. i took them home and started reading this weekend. i was completely hooked, and when i got through 5 i had to get the whole book so i could finish it.

overall i quite enjoyed it, but i felt the ending was a bit lacking for some reason.

now i want to rewatch the movie.
