Abbi Waxman: I Was Told It Would Get Easier (Paperback, 2020, Berkley) 3 stars

Review of 'I Was Told It Would Get Easier' on 'Goodreads'

3+. While I didn't like I Was Told It Would Get Easier as much as either The Bookish Life of Nina Hill or The Garden of Small Beginnings, it was entertaining enough. I don't regret having read it (I also didn't need to bail on it, as I did Waxman's Other People's Houses).

The story follows single mother-daughter duo Jessica and Emily Burnstein as they travel the tony university circuit by bus with a bunch of other privileged parent/child duos.
