'Much Ado About Nothing' could be the subtitle of Banks's tenth Culture novel, but in a good way. The 'nothing' has the potential to change the course of a whole civilisation and all the 'ado' is fast-paced, action-packed and highly entertaining. much lighter in feel than Matter and Surface Detail this is an enjoyable romp, especially if you like the dryly super-intelligent Ship Minds.
