Review of 'Postcards from the Edge' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

I really wanted to love this book--I immediately clicked with Carrie Fisher's witty, intelligent writing style and felt a connection with Suzanne Vale in the first few chapters. But once the Alex chapters began, the whole story began to feel disjointed and messy, as if the book was to be trying to be too many things at once. The endless witty banter grew tedious, no matter how many good lines it contained, and by the end I found myself more interested in finishing the book than what was going on with Suzanne's life.
