This book was a disappointment. I was expecting a manifesto about how technology is designed to empower human beings to have control over their lives and their democracy, if they only knew the code. While you get a small sense of that in the beginning and the last couple chapters, the rest of the book is more about how isolating the Internet is, and how we need to become less dependent on our devices.

There are truths in here, and it wasn't a waste of time. I just was expecting more out of this little book.
