Lord of the Flies meets Day of the Triffids meets Soylent Green
This isn’t my favorite of Disch’s books, but it’s still a great read. Even without the alien invasion backstory, it would still be gripping as a post-apocalyptic or cli-fi novel. Not recommended for children.
