Not perfect, but I do like how the female protagonist has to overcome self-imposed limitations.
Minus a star for dubious abuser patterns in the vampire.
Otherwise this would be 5 stars, because holy detailed world, fantasy story founded on academia, batman!
Unremarkable, for the most part save some minor characters and plot points towards the end.
